5DAYS MOUNTAIN GORILLAS AND CHIMPANZEE TREKKING EXPERIENCE UGANDA SAFARI

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK.
Today, our guide will meet you from your hotel in Entebbe and drive to Kibale Forest National Park.
Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as chimpanzees, Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Red tailed Monkeys and Red Colobus.
The drive route is beautiful and picturesque – characterized by the lush green and hilly landscapes of Uganda.
This evening, we shall go for a Bigodi swamp walk (2-3 hours) that takes you through grasslands, small communities where you meet the locals. It is usual to spot 3 or 4 different primate species during this walk and abundant birds life especially the Great Blue Turaco.Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga lodge/Primate Lodge Kibale/Kibale Forest Camp.
DAY 2: KIBALE FOREST CHIMPANZEE TRACKING EXPERIENCE
Today after breakfast, We shall go tracking the chimpanzees in the forest .The forest is a habitat to at least 12 other primate species including the Red tailed Monkey, Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus Monkey, and the Blue Monkeys with lots of bird life in the forest like the great Blue Turaco.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO BWINDI THE MOUNTAIN GORILLA FOREST
The journey takes you through the scenic country sides of western Uganda, via Queen Elizabeth savanna grasslands and fig trees to the beautifully placed Kigezi Highlands with nice terraces overlooking virunga volcanoes. You will know why the place is called ‘the Switzerland of Africa’.

DAY 4: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE
Today, prepare yourself for an encounter with the amazing Mountain Gorillas.
The gorilla tracking time is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. It may take 2 hours up to 5 hours or more and you should be prepared to walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE/KIGALI.
After breakfast, we Transfer to Entebbe international Airport, stopping at the Equator for those last minute souvenirs and photos.
