About This Tour
This family gorilla trekking package is designed to make the experience accessible and memorable for families travelling with children aged 15 and above (the minimum age for gorilla trekking set by Uganda Wildlife Authority). We select a gorilla family known for calm, predictable behaviour and assign a ranger guide experienced with family groups. The lodge is chosen for comfort, safety, and family-friendly facilities. A Batwa cultural experience is included — the Batwa people, former custodians of the Bwindi forest, offer a fascinating and child-friendly introduction to forest life, traditional skills, and storytelling. The four-day itinerary allows time to settle in, trek, and explore without rushing.
